Volunteers needed for Veterans Appreciation event

On Nov. 7th FISHERMEN IN SUPPORT OF HEROES will be hosting a Veteran’s Appreciation pier fishing trip at the Sea View Pier. We hope for as many as 400 veterans participating. We need volunteers to be our eyes and ears on the pier.

We held our first ever pier event for wounded warriors from Fort Bragg, NC. It was a huge success with 18 in attendance. The weather was great and some nice fish were caught!

F.I.S.H has added a pier fishing event for 18 wounded warriors from Fort Bragg, NC. It will be held on Sept. 24, 2010. For details see the events page entry.

We held our annual pier fishing event for wounded warriors from Camp LeJeune, NC on May 5th. We had 10 marines join us for a day of fun fishing and relaxation.

Richard Phelps, our Chairman of the Board, will be interviewed live Monday morning May 3rd at about 7:35 am for 5 minutes talking about Fishermen In Support of Heroes with Dr. Bogus. The interview will be aired on Jacksonville Radio stations 1240 AM and 107.1 FM.
