F.I.S.H.

We held our annual pier fishing event for wounded warriors from Camp LeJeune, NC on May 5th.  We had 10 marines join us for a day of fun fishing and relaxation.  The event was held at the Seaview Pier in North Topsail Beach, NC.  Greg Ludlow donated the use of his facilities and equipment as well as provided lunch.  A good time was had by all with lots of smiles on the faces of the participants.  Check out the photos.

Richard Phelps, our Chairman of the Board,  will be interviewed live Monday morning May 3rd at about 7:35 am for 5 minutes talking about Fishermen In Support of Heroes with Dr. Bogus.  The interview will be aired on Jacksonville Radio stations 1240 AM and 107.1 FM.

Our board of director’s met yesterday and are excited to announce a new fund raising campaign called “SPONSOR A HERO”.  It is in conjunction with our fourth annual Take a Hero Fishing Pier event in May of this year.

As you may know, each year we take a group of wounded marines (aka Wounded Warriors) from Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Base fishing for the day at Sea View Pier in North Topsail Beach.  All of their expenses are paid.… Read On
