F.I.S.H.

Friday May 11th was a very succesful day of fishing but an unsuccesful day of catching. After one of the best April’s on record for catching, May has been dead. Don’t know why but it has and today was no different. We had 39 of our Heroes came out to fish and according to all reports had a great time in spite of the lack of fish. It was 74 degrees with a light N/NE wind all day and not a cloud in the sky.

Reminder to all that in one month on Friday May 11th we will be having the 6th Annual “Boots On The Boards” pier fishing trip. This year we will be combining our Wounded Warriors and Warriors in Tranisition events into one. This means we will be having 40 Heroes fishing, half from Camp LeJeune and half from Ft. Bragg.

Due to the warm water temps the fishing has started early this year and the sea mullet have been on fire for about two weeks. The blues started 4or 5 days ago… Read On

This year, F.I.S.H. will be combining the pier fishing trip with wounded military from Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg into one trip on Friday May 11, 2012.  We will reserve 20 spaces for each group; Wounded Warriors and Warriors in Transition.  Fishing will be from 0900 until.  As in the past, this is a free event and will include lunch and gifts for each attendee.  Again, no fishing license is needed to fish from the pier.
