Sponsor a HERO

Our board of director’s met yesterday and are excited to announce a new fund raising campaign called “SPONSOR A HERO”.  It is in conjunction with our fourth annual Take a Hero Fishing Pier event in May of this year.

As you may know, each year we take a group of wounded marines (aka Wounded Warriors) from Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Base fishing for the day at Sea View Pier in North Topsail Beach.  All of their expenses are paid. This includes fishing gear, bait, tackle, transportation and even lunch is provided.  They also receive a commemorative hat and T-shirt. 

The “Sponsor A Hero” campaign allows folks in the community to participate in showing appreciation for these young men by helping to defray the cost of providing these items.  For $30 you can sponsor one of our Heroes and help provide a memory that will last a lifetime for many.
